Automatic tracking is only applicable if you have purchased one of the following Telestial SIM cards or services ; Global Travel, Global Premium, Home & Roam, Passport, Passport Plus, SIMple Calling.
If you have purchased a Telestial SIM card or service, your location is tracked based on where you are making calls from using the location of cell phone towers as a reference point.
In some cases, your location might only be displayed at country level.
Due to the large and continuously increasing number of cell towers around the world, the databases we currently use might not be always up to date. Thousands of cell towers are being added to our databases each month. This will improve the accuracy of our tracking over time.
Tips:
- Increase the accuracy of your map by manually sending your location to your Travel Journal via text message. Simply compose a text message containing "L: City name" and send it to 888. Example: If you are in Paris, you could write "Arrived at the Eiffel Tower. L:Paris".
